Kings, Queens and Rolling Heads

So, we of course, did the typical tourist things in London.  Aside from Harrods, Parliament, the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum we HAD to visit the Tower of London and those Beefeaters.  We took a tour with one jolly guy who actually lived in a house on the grounds of the tower along with some other Beefeater guides.  And his daughter was married in the chapel on the grounds.  He was one of the best guides we have ever had…I don't know how he kept a group of about 100 people participating, all in a group and having fun.

The obligatory photo of Tower Bridge

Our guide was quite proud of this well endowed guy and his riding buddy!

Where Henry's wife lost her head!

We were walking by a rather untidy cemetery and saw on the plaque in front that the grave on Thomas Hardy was within.  Well it wasn't but look who we did find!

All in all, except for the food, London is a great rival to N.Y. and stands alone in its own right as one of the world class cities!
